Capturing people and places one shoot at a time.

Behind the Camera

Hey, I’m Z!

Before I walked around with a camera, my biggest passion was teaching myself gymnastics and powerlifting. When gyms closed during the pandemic, I found myself searching for a new, COVID-safe way to stay active and connect with others. That’s when I turned to photography—a hobby I’d been curious about for years, especially since most of my friends had cameras, and I was always helping with their projects.

At first, photography was simply a way to get out of my dorm, meet people, and stay safe. But it didn’t take long for me to become inspired by the talented photographers in my life. I quickly realized just how challenging and rewarding it is to create art with a camera, especially since I never saw myself as an artistic person before. Once I fell in love with portrait photography and the editing process, I knew I was hooked and wanted to pursue photography seriously.

Today, I love exploring my creativity through portraits, capturing the individuality and energy of each subject. I’m also passionate about editorial photography, where I can blend storytelling with striking visuals. Beyond portraits, I specialize in a wide range of photography, including sports, nightlife, concerts, events, headshots, digitals, weddings, and real estate photography.

Currently, I manage two photo studios in Brooklyn, where I’m immersed in the creative process daily. In addition to being a photographer, I’m also a grip, gaffer, production assistant, and solo filmmaker. These roles have given me a deep understanding of lighting, composition, and the technical aspects of visual storytelling, which I bring to every shoot.

What I love most about being a photographer is collaborating with other artists, capturing the people and places around me, and blending my passions—whether it’s sports photography inspired by my fitness journey or creative portraiture that pushes the boundaries of imagination. For me, photography is more than a career; it’s the art of turning fleeting moments into lasting stories.
